Plant Giáp Cá in rich, well-draining soil and keep it consistently moist, as it is not drought-tolerant. It can be grown in full sun, part shade, or full shade, with foliage taking on a more reddish hue in shade and becoming greener with longer sun exposure. Giáp Cá can also be grown successfully as a water plant. Its fast-spreading rhizomes make it an excellent ground cover, while containers can help keep its growth contained.
