Growing Guide: Olive ‘Chemlali’
Growing Tips
Also known as: Chemlali Olive, Tunisian Olive
Plant Chemlali Olive (Olea europaea 'Chemlali') in full sun and provide well-draining soil. This heat-tolerant, drought-resistant variety thrives in warm climates and prefers good drainage to prevent root problems. Water regularly while young and establishing, then reduce watering as the tree matures, providing supplemental moisture during prolonged dry periods. Chemlali can tolerate some salinity and is well suited to Mediterranean-style gardens. Prune as needed to maintain an open canopy and encourage healthy growth. Although self-fertile, fruit production can vary with climate and growing conditions
