Growing Guide: Job's Tears

 Growing Tips

Plant Job's Tears in spring during the rainy season, when warm temperatures and consistent moisture support strong growth. Provide full sun to part shade and fertile, well-draining soil with regular moisture during establishment and active growth. Plants can reach 4–6 ft. tall and work well in containers or as textured hedge plants. As the weather becomes drier, grain heads mature and become ready for harvest. In warmer climates, Job's Tears can grow as a perennial and readily self-seed for future seasons.
