Jackfruit ‘Orange Crush’
Orange Crush Jackfruit is a large evergreen fruit tree native to India known for its gigantic green, studded-exterior fruits filled with crunchy, deep orange pulp in composite pieces. This low latex Jackfruit variation is beloved for its mango-meets-banana, sweet flavor. Use it for a meat substitute, especially in recipes calling for pulled pork.
A member of the Moraceae (fig) family, it is related to Mulberries and Figs! Not only is the Jackfruit the largest fruit around, the tree is quite a towering canopy as well, growing as high as 80 ft. tall at a medium rate.
